Privacy Policy

TikTap doesn't require an account and doesn't collect account information. You can use the downloader without registering, signing in, or giving us your email address.

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as page views and parse success or failure rates. Each browser is given a random identifier so that these events can be joined into a single session — it is not linked to your name, email address or any account, because we don't have any. This data contains no personally identifiable information, and we don't sell it.

The video link you paste is used only for the single request you trigger, and is not stored long-term. To resolve it, the link is forwarded to a third-party parsing API that returns the media address. Only the link itself is sent — no information about you travels with it.

TikTap itself uses localStorage for small browser-side values: your preferences, and the random analytics identifier described above. Clearing your browser storage resets it. Our advertising partners may set their own cookies or similar technologies — see "Advertising" below.

TikTap displays ads served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense, Adsterra, and Monetag) to help keep the service free. These networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. TikTap does not control how these networks use that data — refer to each network's own privacy policy for details.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from participating networks at Google Ads Settings, the DAA opt-out page (US), or Your Online Choices (EU). Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies entirely in their privacy settings.

If you're in the European Economic Area or UK, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, or delete data associated with you, and to object to processing. If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — our advertising partners' use of cookies for personalized ads may be considered "sharing" under that definition. To exercise any of these rights, email support@tiktap.app, or use the opt-out links above to stop personalized ads directly with the networks that serve them.

• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how they process data.
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics, as described above.
• A third-party media parsing API — receives the link you paste in order to return the media address. It does not receive any information about you.
• Google AdSense, Adsterra, Monetag — advertising networks, as described in "Advertising" above.

If you'd like any of your data removed, email support@tiktap.app and we'll take care of it within a reasonable timeframe.
